Uzma Sadaqat is the Founding Director at Family First Institute, a Lahore based counseling facility working on marriage, relationship problems and parenting support. She served on different top positions at Willing Ways (Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad & Murree) from 2006 to July, 2019. She has a knack to explore her client’s problems objectively and skillfully to provide them with best science based solutions whether it is drug addiction, psychairtic illness, relationship problems or parenting dilemma. She has gained vast experience and practical knowledge to deal with long standing problems while working with hundreds of individuals, couples and families since 2002.
She was invited as a speaker at Young Leaders Conference held in Lahore from July 1-6, 2018. She co-conducted a 4 days training on “Structured Addiction Treatment & Family Counseling” at The Hermitage and Bhatia Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Amritsar (India), in September, 2015. She is an IVLP (International Visitor Leadership Program) Alumna, which is the most prestigious professional exchange program of the State Department of USA. She is the first certified Clinical Interventionist in Pakistan. She is an affiliate member of American Psychological Association (APA), NAADAC – The Association of Addiction Professionals and International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP).
She obtained her Masters degree in Psychology from Punjab University in 2001, and later received her M.Phil degree in Clinical Psychology from Preston University, Islamabad. She has done diplomas in Hypnotherapy, Advanced Hypnotherapy and a certification in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). She got training in “Denial Management Counseling” by Terence Terry Gorski (USA) and “Structured Family Intervention” by Debra Jay & Jeff Jay (USA).
She frequently appears on different TV Morning and Talk Shows. Her hobbies include book reading, listening to the audio programs, hiking and going for long walks in nature. She lives happily with her husband in Lahore.
